Hi,

My name is Charles and I am a Solar Comfort distributor as well as this site's owner with an a physical retail location and service center. We do not work from our home but have a professional business.

I wanted to put this site together to give people interested in Infrared Heaters in general, more information than what was on the market.

Although I am partial to Solar Comfort, I also strive to give you a more factual expectations and understanding of Infrared Heating.

The site was created out of frustration. I found that there was a lack of information about Infrared haeters, competitors and dealers alike simply saying how great their product is but without real comparisons, details, etc.

I hope that you will find this website and its forum to be the most informative website relating to this subject.

Be sure to take the time to look over our main site: http://www.solarcomfortheating.com

Hi, Charles!

Thanks for setting up this informative and interesting site.  With the increased cost of energy, many people are looking for a more affordable solution.  Some of my friends have taken Paul Harvey's advice and bought the EdenPure, but I wanted to do a little research before investing my hard-earned money.

I'm glad I did!  The comparison graphics tell the story very well, with plenty of information to back it up.  I was especially impressed by the argument against remotes, digital readouts and the rest of the fancy bells and whistles that add little but complexity to what should be a simple appliance, not a hobby or a toy.

I've got a question or two, which I'll post elsewhere, but I just wanted to let you know your work on this site is appreciated.

Thank you Gary,

I am glad the site was of help to you. There is a lack of comparisons and true expectations out there. Whether or not someone goes with a Solar Comfort is not as important as that people get information to base a decision on.

Thanks,

Charles

Howdy. After a couple of years of hearing about, and thinking about, and looking into, infrared heaters, I (we) finally decided to get to the "bottom of the barrel" and find out where the BS lay, where the truth lay, where the quality was, where the Amish dream (nightmare) came from, etc.

As you (Charles) stated, I was sick of (and not at all impressed by) sales folks claiming "best" with absolutely no substantiation, and plenty of knocking (sometimes good) aspects of the competitors. No one will ever sell me anything by tossing dung and knocking other products.

After weeks of digging, I ended up here, and this is greatly appreciated.

Hi Randy,

Glad you found us! Although we are obviously partial to Solar Comfort, I believe you can get a lot out of this site no matter a person's final choice.

They all put out heat and will save a person money. However, when it comes to the quality, ease of repairs, safety, track record and the fact that people still have the Solar Comfort still working in their homes after 25 years, is why we are primarily Solar Comfort.

Thanks for visiting.

Thanks for the welcome, Charles. Tomorrow I am going to visit a dealer with 4 types on display: Solar Comfort, Comfort Zone, EdenPure, and I forget the other.

I scoured and devoured your site, and I have some ideas for making it even better than it already is (yours is the best of dozens of IR furnace sites I have devoured).

Hi Randy,

Are you meaning ideas for improving the website or the actual heater?

Also when looking at units, realize that the majority are not actually UL certified. They can get away with claiming UL by using UL parts in the units, but that does not make them UL approved. Solar Comfort through its proven design has been able to maintain the UL listing by keeeping to the existing design.

Hi Charles,
we are seriously considering the purchase of a supplemental heater in the next year. It's good to see this forum and hope to see more input soon.

My name is Steve and my wife and I live in NE Pennsylvania. We own a ComfortZone heater which is on it's second year. I appreciate your web site and am glad to have found it. You obviously are more honest in the claims you make than are the sites promoting the other brands.

Do you have any used heaters for sale? Huh
